The Army Ladies Table Tennis team emerged victors at the recently ended table tennis knockout championship organised by the Greater Accra Table Tennis Association.
The event which came off at the Hathramani Sports Hall at the Accra sports stadium on Saturday, was aimed at ushering the various clubs towards the upcoming regional table tennis league.
Prior to the finals, Army Ladies recorded a 3-0 win over their counterparts, Police ladies.
However, Staff Sergeant Moses Tagoe's side raised the bar with a 3-0 win over Navy ladies in the finals to lift the coveted trophy.
National top seed Eva Adom Amankwaah, Celia Baah Danso and Augustina Baidoo displayed good rallies to seal total victory for their side.
Speaking after the game, head coach of the Army Ladies, Staff Sergeant Moses Tagoe acknowledged the commitment from the sports handlers of the Ghana Armed Forces.
He stated that their support and motivation have played a vital role in their successful endeavours.
He added that his side is well poised for success this year and aiming to be winners of the upcoming regional league as well as international competitions.
