Cypriot top-flight giants, Apoel Nicosia have announced the signing of talented Ghanaian forward Kingsley Sarfo on loan for the rest of the ongoing 2021/22 football season.
The club last month emerged as favourites to sign the attacking midfielder after his excellent displays for Olympiakos Nicosia.
On the back of fruitful discussions this week, Apoel have managed to secure a loan deal for the in-demand player who according to sources had offers from other top clubs in Europe.
“The company APOEL FOOTBALL (PUBLIC) LTD announces the conclusion of an agreement with Olympiakos Nicosia for the loan of the football player Kingsley Sarfo, until the end of the football season 2021-2022.
“The footballer will be directly integrated in the trainings of our team,” a statement from Apoel said on Thursday evening.
It added, “We welcome Kingsley to the biggest team in Cyprus and wish him to celebrate titles with the blue and yellow shield on his chest.”
Kingsley Sarfo, 26, will wear the number 44 jersey at Apoel Nicosia. His arrival is a massive boost for the club aiming to win a title at the end of the season.
