Medeama SC is now back in the race to win the Ghana Premier League title following their 2-0 win against Techiman Eleven Wonders on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tarkwa-based club at the start of the 2020/2021 football season struggled to get the results and hence the team was ruled out of the list of favourites to win the title.
In recent weeks, however, coach Samuel Boadu and his team have managed to turn things around and have steadily climbed the standings of the league table.
Hosting Techiman Eleven Wonders at the CAM Park today, Medeama SC has made a big statement by dispatching the matchday 16 opponent with a 2-0 win.
The victory that came courtesy goals from Prince Opoku Agyeman and Joseph Tetteh Zuta means that Medeama SC now has 26 points as they move to second on the league table.
They are just two points behind Karela United [league leaders] and stand a chance of winning the league if they are able to keep the momentum to win successive games.
