Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan is set to spend weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a muscle tear in his right thigh.
The highly-rated goalkeeper was in action for the Porcupine Warriors club last Sunday when the club played as a guest to Berekum Chelsea on Matchday 2 of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Unfortunately, Felix Annan picked up an injury in the second half and had to be substituted.
Today, a club statement from Asante Kotoko has confirmed that the goalkeeper has suffered a muscle tear in his right thigh.
“A musculoskeletal ultrasound scan conducted on Felix Annan confirmed a muscle tear in his right thigh.
“Our Captain starts his rehabilitation and will be out for a few weeks,” a post on the Twitter page of Kotoko reads.
In line with the setback, Felix Annan is set to miss at least 3 matches for his club including the CAF Champions League encounter against FC Nouadhibou early next month.
