Midfielder Thomas Partey Out Of Arsenal, Leeds United Game Due To Thigh Injury

Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey will miss Arsenal game against Leeds United on Sunday with a thigh problem preventing the midfielder from figuring in a trip to Leeds.

Partey picked up a knock during a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium prior to the November international break and was replaced in the second half of the game.

The 27-year-old could not team up with his Ghana teammates ahead if the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] qualifiers against Sudan.

He will also be missing for his club side when they head to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

“Thomas was replaced at half-time during the match against Aston Villa and has sustained a strain to his left thigh," Arsenal statement read.

“Continues to be assessed, will not be available for this weekend’s match and will continue his rehabilitation.”

Partey joined the Gunners this summer from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.
