Former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako has insisted that the past management members of the club worked under severe and unprofessional conditions.

The veteran football administrator and a few members that served the Porcupine Warriors club for the past few years under Dr. Kwame Kyei were relieved of their post recently when the 12-member board of directors were appointed by Manhyia.

Speaking to Kessben FM, George Amoako has noted that if they had worked with the current board, the past management would have performed wonders with Asante Kotoko.

“We would have done wonders. With this board we would have done wonders. But even that, look at our achievement in the last few years. Everything about Ghana football Kotoko took it”, the ex-Kotoko CEO said.

He continued, “People have forgotten. Everything about Ghana football, every competition, Kotoko won. We played in Africa and for a period of 13 years we had not crossed the preliminary stage. All that people have forgotten. Even under severe conditions, unprofessional, but we did our best”.

After partying ways with the Ghana Premier League record holders, George Amoako has been appointed as the Executive Chairman for King Faisal. He will be helping Alhaji Grusah to hopeful perform wonders with the Kumasi-based club.
