Hearts of Oak defender, Larry Sumaila says he cannot wait for the return of football to get back to doing what he knows how to do best.
The right-back joined the Phobian club in 2019 as a free agent after ending his stay with Greece giants PAOK FC.
After putting in a lot of hard work, he gradually broke into the first team of the club as he displayed good form prior to the suspension of the Ghana Premier League season as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Now at home just like any other player in the country due to the ban on football, Larry Sumaila has expressed his eagerness to return to the pitch.
“We are just waiting to be told to resume training and get back to real match situations”, the defender said in an interview as quoted on the official website of Hearts of Oak.
The 25-year-old added, “All players in Ghana wants to play football and the sooner we are allowed to resume playing, the better it will be for all”.
Before the 2019/2020 season was canceled, Larry Sumaila made 3 appearances for Hearts of Oak. He has been able to win over the supporters of the club and looks set for more playing time in the next football season.
