Two suspected thieves were found dead at Fiapre in the Sunyani West District of the Brong Ahafo Region on Wednesday morning.

The two, believed to be in their thirties were found naked with visible signs of assault on their bodies and what appeared to be cutlass wounds.

Residents said they woke up to find their bodies lying outside the part of the Fiapre community near Notre Dame Girls Senior High School.

According to sources, the deceased were the thieves troubling residents for the past months.

It is unclear what caused their death but it is believed that they were allegedly lynched in the early hours of Wednesday by unidentified persons.

The two were however identified as Sulley and Mohammed Awudu.

The bodies have since been deposited at the morgue as police conducts investigations into their death.

Meanwhile mother of one of the deceased, Abieba Labo in an interview with Ark News said her son named Mohammed Awudu is not a thief. She however admitted that he was addicted to Tramadol and occasionally stole cat.

“Unknown assailants killed my son and his friend for stealing laptops, which the laptop was not found at their room” the mother said.
