Ghana Education Service charged GH 5 as processing fees for registering online for Senior High School limited recruitment. As if that is not enough, the same GES is again charging prospective teachers Gh 40 for aptitude test. I guess the same teachers just paid Gh 220 for licensing exams.

How different is aptitude test from licensing exams and academic certificates teachers acquired from their various institutions?

NTC is yet to release those who may be fortunate to pass teachers' licensing exams and they are the people GES bemoaned could be posted. So why this aptitude test again? Are GES working in tandem with National Teaching Council? It is ridiculous I guess.

What will happen if a teacher passes aptitude test and fails licensing exams?

Another mind boggling issue is that GES did the same limited recruitment into SHS last year (2017) without aptitude test.

What has necessitated these two exams? (Aptitude test and licensing exams). All at a cost!!! This is double standard!!!

According to GES payment will be made before an applicant could check whether he/she has been selected for the aptitude test.

1. What happens to an applicant whose name might not be in the list?

2. Why didn't you send text message to all qualified applicants?

3. Should we assume that everyone was selected for the aptitude test?

It is high time GES got unique and certified standard in recruiting teachers.
