Statement: Suspend Internal Party Activities To Focus On EC’s Limited Registration/ Creation Of New Electoral Areas - NDC Diaspora Supporters Union

We, the National Democratic Congress Diaspora Supporters Union, write to appeal to the National Executive Committee of the NDC, to suspend all internal party activities to diligently focus on the Electoral Commission (EC) plans of conducting a limited registration exercise for voters aged 18 and the proposed creations of new electoral area across the regions of Ghana.

According to the EC, the exercise will also be used to register those who, for one reason or another, could not register during the last voter’s registration exercise.

It seems, the EC and its collaborators in the failed Akufo Addo/NPP government want to quietly use the opportunity to register their supporters to bloat the voters register at the time the NDC is seriously engaging in internal elections.

We should not give them a field day to satisfy their rigging agenda for which the new EC chairperson and her deputies were appointed to execute.

We want to use this opportunity to wish our party for a successful regional election and we look forward for a much success and peaceful national elections in November.
