National Service Secretariat Announces GHC40 Charge For Pin Code Activation
07.05.2018 LISTEN

The National Service Secretariat in Accra has announced that all prospective service personnel will pay an amount of GHC40 (Forty Ghana Cedis) to process the activation of pin codes.

According to NSS the breakdown covers National Service Personnel Association Dues - GHC10.00; Service Personnel ID Card - GHC10.00 and Online Registration and processing fee - GHC20.00.

This was revealed in a press release issued on Monday signed by its public affairs directorate.

Below is the full press release:
The Management of the National Service Scheme wishes to inform all prospective national service personnel that the amount of GHC40.00 being charged prior to the activation of their PIN Codes is legitimate and to facilitate administrative charges to be incurred on the registration process.

The breakdown of the amount is as follows:
1. National Service Personnel Association Dues - GHC10.00

2. Service Personnel ID Card - GHC10.00
3. Online Registration and processing fee - GHC20.00

The NSS is by this release informing all prospective national service personnel and the general public that the GHC40.00 charge has NOT been increased since 2005.

It is therefore, preposterous for some individuals with political motives to accuse the current management of wrong-doing.

It is a vile propaganda and must be treated with the contempt it deserves. Management wishes to assure all prospective national service personnel of their continuous commitment to uphold the tenets of the Scheme in serving them.

Thank you.
