Accra, Oct. 25, (UPI/GNA) - Two men were shot to death early Wednesday on the Grambling State University campus in northern Louisiana, authorities said, and the shooter is still at large.

Police said they believe a dorm room altercation led to the shootings in a nearby courtyard between two dormitories.

Pronounced dead at the scene were Earl Andrews, 23, a Grambling student, and Monquiarious Caldwell, 23, who was not a student at the school.

Each was from Farmerville La., about 30 miles away, said Will Sutton, the school's communications director.

The shooter is believed to be at large, and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office advised students to stay in their dorms, although the campus in Grambling, La., was not placed on lockdown.

Officials do not believe the shooter is a student at the school.

The school will celebrate its Homecoming weekend this week.
