Accra, Sept. 18 - (UPI) - President Donald Trump arrived in New York City late Sunday to prepare for a schedule of events Monday that will precede his address to the United Nations.

The president left his golf club in Bedminster, N.J., and travelled to Manhattan Sunday night for a week of meetings with foreign leaders, which come amid heightened tensions with North Korea.

Monday, Trump will meet with representatives of more than 120 countries and U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres. He is expected to address a slew of issues, including some possible reform of the United Nations -- of which Trump has often been critical -- to increase efficiency.

Trump is also scheduled to meet with leaders from France and Israel Monday. A major topic of discussion is expected to be Iran. He will wrap Monday with a working dinner with Latin American leaders.

Trump is set to deliver his first-ever address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.
