My New Year Resolution: President Mahama Must Follow Jose Mourinho

Feature Article My New Year Resolution: President Mahama Must Follow Jose Mourinho
JAN 5, 2016 LISTEN

It is yet another year and I wholeheartedly join the rest of the world to wish my fellow country men and women a happy new year. It is my utmost desire and wish that, this year will be a year of transformation in our individual private lives as well as our national discourse.

In the past 2015, I, like any individual in Ghana was confronted with various challenges and setbacks but with God on our side, we are victorious of whatever situation you and I went through. Praise be to the Messiah (God Almighty).

To me, 2015 was a difficult and funny one. Considering the economic hardships amidst the serious 'dumsor' menace, the increasingly increasing youth unemployment and political corruptions, you and I can attest to this obvious fact that, we had a difficult year as a nation and people.

In our individual lives, we had dreams we sought to achieve in the past year. You may have achieved all or part but others may achieve nothing. That's isn't the end. This new year is very positive of achieving whatever we couldn't achieve last year.

Just as you had your aspirations of last year, same did I. I may not have achieved them all but I can only say, my God was merciful and kind. I look forward to achieve more.

It is a new year, so I have my new dreams plus the old ones I couldn't achieve. It is my greatest wish in 2016, that Ghana my mothetland will have a change of leadership come November 7 when we go to then polls. You can agree or disagree but my greatest wish isn't for my personal interest but a collective one to move our country forward.

To me, president Mahama has failed woefully and doesn't deserve another term of office. His government has been a problems breeder instead of problems solver. From his first time of office as President, I knew he will fail. This is a man whose first national policy as president after he took over from late Prof. Mills in 2012 was to review and increase the salaries of himself, vice, and appointees over 100 percent at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian cannot be given another term. He doesn't worth it! I'm calling for change. I can't bear it any longer. Ghana deserves better than we are seeing.

Interestingly, the man called 'corruption' is now a salaried worker in every government institution and agencies in our country now. Saddly, it is being treated as first class staff in these institutions. From the presidency to the lowest public office, corruption has a seed in them. It amuses me very much, that president Mahama since his office as President has always played lip services to fighting corruption.

For instance, the big names and companies cited in the various forms of corruption cases such as GYEEDA, SADA are still gaining government contracts. Is this not obvious President Mahama is the root of all political corruptions that has bedeviled his own government?

I'm not in the position to decide for Ghanaians as to who to vote for, but it will be a great honor to mother Ghana if we can boldly throw away the John Mahama led corrupt NDC government. This is my new year resolution!

Mahama must go!!

God bless mother Ghana.
