Kumasi takes turn for the Ghana Youth Walk dubbed #PowerWalk this year. The Ghana Youth walk has been held in Accra over the last 5 years to afford young people the opportunity to be part of a process towards a national course.
The first instalment of this year’s walk in partnership with AIESEC and Y FM as media partners was held in Accra earlier this month and running on theme “walking for Self-Empowerment”. The Biggest Annual Youth gathering which is set to rock the Ashanti Regional capital on Saturday, is to amplify the voice of young people for a change in society.
Organizers of the walk The Brown Berry Show have promised more fun and excitement for the Kumasi event far above what was witnessed in Accra. “Kumasi would be different, In Accra it was traditional. After the walk we had a pack of entertainment with music and dance, eating competitions, cutting of the cake and talent exhibition and all.” “But in Kumasi we still would all of these and many more. It’ll be a surprise. Brown Berry explained.
The Ghana Youth Walk in Kumasi would take place on 17th October, 2015 and is expected to attract hundreds of young individuals from all walks of life.
