Financial analyst Sydney Casely-Hayford has attributed the violence that has engulfed the opposition NPP to the nature of politics being practiced in the country.
According to him, some Ghanaian politicians are under the impression that the only way to defeat their opponent is to eliminate them.
Commenting on the killing of the NPP's Upper East regional chairman, Casley-Hayford said Ghanaians must acknowledge that they 'inherited politics of violence' from their colonial masters.
He added also that the ruling NDC is no better than the NPP when it comes to internal violence.
'The NDC is no less violent than the NPP. We have a class of violent political parties.
'I'm saying that Ghana inherited politics of violence…we fought the British in a violent way for political hegemony.
'…We have ended up creating a political class of murderers,' he stated on Accra-based Citi FM Saturday.
