Accra, April 14, GNA - Microsoft Mobile Devices, has announced the availability of the Lumia 640 XL smartphone on the Ghanaian market, a product market observers say would enhance increasing productivity, maintain affordability and upgradeable to Windows 10.

The latest device to join the Lumia portfolio, the Lumia 640 XL, offers more personal computing and increased productivity through seamlessly integrated Microsoft Office experiences, OneDrive storage and fast 4G connectivity.

The Lumia 640 XL will upgrade to and benefit from Windows 10 as it becomes available on the market, Airiafo Fred Oriunuebho, Communications Manager, Microsoft West Africa, said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday.

Lumia 640 XL is a dual SIM which is smooth and quick to access important documents, or run all of your favourite websites, apps and games through it on-board 1GB of memory and powerful quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The statement quoted Head of Marketing, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services, West Africa, Mr Olumide Balogun as saying that 'the phone comes with the latest version of windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim update which has a complete one-swipe Action Centre, Word Flow and Live Folders.

'Lumia 640 XL can capture rich photos even in low light with the help of it 13 MP cameras on the phone and with it LED flash.'

The Lumia 640 XL offer the consumer view photos and watch videos on a crisp 5.7' HD display and it has a long-lasting 3000 mAh battery that helps the consumer to enjoy 24 hours of talk time, he added.

It also gives the consumer up-to-date features through it regular update of windows including the benefits of windows 10 services.

'People are looking for a device which brings them more flexibility to switch easily between work and play, without breaking the bank,'    Balogun said.

He added that: 'The Lumia 640 XL keeps people prepared for anything, with the full range of Microsoft experiences -   Office and OneDrive - that Lumia users have come to expect straight out of the box, fast 4G connectivity, a superb 5.7' HD screen and long lasting battery'

'As the age old demand for 'more for less' extends to the smartphone market, the Lumia 640 XL presents a strong option for those customers who want the increased productivity a smart device offers without sacrificing affordability, 'Balogun added.
