Kumasi, Aug. 9, GNA - The Men's Ministry of the Baptist Church at Bremang in Kumasi on Sunday presented 20 cartons of Apino soap valued at three million cedis to the Kumasi Central Prisons.

The Rev Akwasi Acheampong Dwetteh, a senior pastor of the church, advised the prisoners to reflect on offences that sent them there and resolve to be law-abiding after serving their jail terms.

"This way you will become useful not just to yourselves but your families and to society in general," he said.

Deputy Superintendent of Prisons (DSP) E.A. Wristberg, who received the gifts, expressed his gratitude to the church and appealed for more public support.

He appealed to the church to assist to fumigate the prisons to prevent the outbreak of diseases.
