Ghanaian Ladies And Their Love For Money

Ghanaian Ladies And Their Love For Money
08.10.2013 LISTEN

I am not being grammatically loquacious but rather stunt patriot who will not sit unconcern to see morally reprehensible behavior been promoted in the society. I am poised not to mince words on any issue I find it inimical to the development of Ghana, Women are the most important part of any given society and they must be protected at all cost, Religious organizations have not relent on this issue about women protection, as a Muslim I can confidently say that, there are uncountable verses in my holy scriptures that admonishes us to be circumspect when dealing with women. The important of a woman can never be discounted when profiling the success of any society.

It is a thing of worry and disgrace when women status is degenerated into an epitome of shame and mockery. It is regrettable if celebrities, who are supposed to be a role model of their fans, turn to engage in disgraceful act. Yvonne Nelson's story with Iyanya of Nigeria has given me the impetus for me to scribble my mind and displeasure on how some Ghanaian actress are perceived to be 'cheap' in Nigeria.

We have recorded countless headlines in Ghana about relationship issue between our actress and celebrities in Nigeria. If my memory serves me right, I have never come across a male celebrity in Ghana dating a Nigerian actress. Is that their women are too high for us or they respect their womanhood?

Anytime a Nigerian actor wants to extent his promiscuity to international level, they choose Ghana as their fertile grounds for their business. I don't have any hate for Nigerians, and I see no reason why we should encourage international marriage, but not the very one that seems to undermine the integrity of our ladies. Nadia Buari is alleged to be in relationship with the bad boy of Nollywood Jim Ike who was exorcised of bad spirit that has prevented him from marrying. I hope is not a decoy to push Nadia into believing that, the bad boy is now a born again.

I will also want to make a simple appeal to our own celebrities like John Domelo. Majid, Adjetey Annan etc, to also prove to us that the Nigerians actress can be dated by Ghanaian actors, the shame is becoming too much!!!. Especially when they twit and facebook, about how they used and dumped some of our celebrities, it is highly uncivilized and infantile.

Life is not all about money and fame, but rather the respect you give to people and the respect people accord you, as Africans we have code of conduct that really define as. The level of my anger and disappointment with regard to the Yvonne's case was exacerbated when my own Nigeria friend was telling me, his own experience with some Ghanaian girls. In fact, is pity and shame as a man when your fellow man from different country tries to look down upon your women.

The love for money and material things among some section of the Ghanaian women has lead to this bad image creating. The misconception that Nigeria men are richer and spend a lot of women always pushes some of women to sell their womanhood for a cheap phone and Ice creams. Because of this reason, a lot of men in town fake to be foreigners so they can get innocent souls to devour. Since some of our celebrities can't comport their selves and promote the good image of Ghana positively, then we should not expect anything good from the very people who see them as role models.

One of the most damning influences on earth, one that has caused uncountable grief, suffering, heartache, and destroyed a lot of women, is the insatiable love for money and material things that has succeeded in clouding their sense of judgment. Satan has unleashed a seductive campaign to undermine the sanctity of womanhood, to deceive the daughters of God and divert them from their divine destiny.
