Gonjaland Association UK Congratulates Mahama On His Investiture

We the members of Gonjaland Association UK & Ireland once again wish to congratulate His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama on his inauguration as President of the Republic of Ghana.

While congratulating you on your inauguration and assumption of the high office of our land, we are not oblivious of the daunting challenges that lie ahead of you as the Father of the Nation.

We pray that the good Lord who put you in this driving seat, will bestow His Divine zephyr upon you guiding and guarding you in every step you take, in every decision you make so that come the end of your tenure, the people of Ghana can sit back and say " here was the Chosen One who came to liberate us out under the shackles of poverty and underdevelopment".

Gonjaland UK Association and Ireland will like to offer Machiavelli's admonitions when he said “A prince must imitate the fox and the lion, for the lion cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves. Those that wish to be only lions do not understand this.

Therefore, a prudent ruler ought not to keep faith when by so doing it would be against his interest, and when the reasons which made him bind himself no longer exist. If men were all good, this precept would not be a good one; but as they are bad, and would not observe their faith with you, so you are not bound to keep faith with them.
