FRIENDS OF NII ARMAH ASHITEY (FONAA) ENDORCES NII ARMAH ASHITEY FOR 2012 OSU KLOTEY CLOLLEY

29.11.2011 LISTEN
By Nii Armah Ashitey

We the friends of Nii Armah Ashitey (FONAA) wishes to appeal to our loving and trusted members in the NDC Osu Clottey constituency to make sure to retain Hon Nii Armah Ashitey who doubles as the Greater Accra Regional Minister.

We the Members of FONAA wish to state categorically that our support for the Member of Parliament Nii Armah Ashitey is not base on light and transient reason but on sound analyses of the current trend of voting pattern that is emerging in the three swing Regions. We also want to underscore his immense contributions to the development of Osu Clottey constituency and Greater Accra Region as a whole.

Hon. Nii Armah Ashitey on record is the only Regional Minister who has no deputy or assistant and yet this Honorable Minister has been able to combine his ministerial position with his seat as Member of Parliament to do a whole lot for this Region. We believe that the 2012 elections will be keenly contested therefore the party has to marshal all its resources and mount formidable candidate to help the party win both majority in parliament and the General election as well.

We the members of FONAA hereby entreat all our members in the constituency especially our able Delegates to vote him in the up coming primaries so as to enhance our chances of retaining and winning this seat especially after wrestling it from the NPP with a little over 3000 votes. It is instructive to remind Delegates in our constituency not to loose sight on the fact that the winning of Osu Clottey constituency goes ahead to win the National election since the inception of the 1992 constitution. The research conducted by FONAA indicates that, if we make a mistake and change Hon. Nii Armah for any candidate in 2012, we will lose the seat to the opposition party NPP because their candidate is already popular in the constituency having lost narrowly the election 2008. The Hon. Minister himself benefited from this miscalculation when he stood again the second, giving him the advantage over the NPP candidate who was standing for the first time. Therefore we urge our Delegates to vote Nii Armah Ashitey for 2012 and put the party's interest above any self interest. Considering the Achievements of Hon. Nii Armah Ashitey, FONAA will assure all the electorates in Osu Clottey constituency and in the Greater Accra Region to extend his mantle for a Better Osu Clottey Agenda 2012.
