Subin MP Lawyer Obiri Yeboah disburses GHS200,000 scholarship support to tertiary students

The Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Kofi Obiri Yeboah, has disbursed over GH₵200,000 as part of a scholarship scheme to support tertiary students within his jurisdiction, in what many have described as a timely and impactful intervention in the education sector.

The financial assistance, sourced from the MP’s Common Fund, was distributed among 100 beneficiaries, each reportedly receiving GH₵20,000 to help meet their academic expenses.

In addition, a PhD student also benefited from the initiative, demonstrating a thoughtful approach that spans multiple levels of higher education.

The presentation ceremony, held on Sunday at the Amankwatia M/A Primary School, drew a significant number of parents, New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates, and other constituents, many of whom expressed appreciation for the MP’s continued investment in human capital development.

Speaking to the media after the event, Mr. Obiri Yeboah underscored the gesture as a reflection of his unwavering commitment to promoting education in the Subin Constituency.

He reiterated that supporting education has long been a personal priority, even before assuming office, and remains central to his leadership agenda.

Observers note that such a substantial allocation toward scholarships highlights a proactive and people-centered leadership style.

By channeling resources into education, the MP is not only easing the financial burden on families but also laying a solid foundation for future professionals, scholars, and leaders within the constituency.

Lawyer Obiri Yeboah further assured that this initiative is not a one-off intervention but part of a sustained effort to prioritize education through the strategic use of the MP’s Common Fund.

His commitment, many believe, positions Subin as a constituency that values academic excellence and long-term socio-economic growth.
