Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Director of Elections and IT for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has praised the party's running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, expressing confidence in her experience and potential to contribute to victory in the 2024 elections.

He highlighted the meticulous process undertaken by NDC flagbearer John Mahama in selecting Prof Opoku-Agyemang as a running mate, stating that she emerged prominently in three different research evaluations.

He emphasised her wealth of experience and asserted that her gender and personality provided hope for women aspiring to leadership roles.

The NDC official also credited Prof Opoku-Agyemang for her impact in the Central Region during the 2020 elections, noting that the John and Jane ticket significantly increased the party's seat count from 4 to 13 in the region.

Dr Omane Boamah conveyed the party's determination to leave no stone unturned in its efforts to win the 2024 elections and address what they perceive as challenges under the current governance.

Former President John Mahama officially announced Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate on March 7, 2024, expressing pride in her integrity, dedication, and vision for a better Ghana.

Dr Boamah made this revelation while speaking on Inside Politics on Accra-based TV XYZ.

"I am proud to have Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as my running mate.

Her integrity, dedication, and vision for a better Ghana make her the ideal candidate to join me in leading our party to victory in the upcoming elections," Mahama stated in a released statement.
