Central Regional Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu has said with confidence that the party will win 20 out of the 23 parliamentary seats in the Region.

According to him, indications clearly show that the NDC would form the next government to be led by former President John Dramani Mahama.

Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu said this at the inauguration of Agona West NDC Youth Working Committee and award day at Agona Swedru last Sunday.

He disclosed that the Region will support every constituency to prosecute the agenda for NDC to win the 20 parliamentary seats to propel the party to form a majority in Ghana's Parliament House.

The Regional Chairman lauded Agona West Youth Wing for their dedication to duty and encouraged other constituencies to emulate the shining example exhibited to facilitate campaign activities of the NDC.

Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu was quick to caution against disunity and other anti-social activities that would affect the fortune of the party in the Agona West constituency and Ghana as a whole.

The Member of Parliament for Agona East, Hon. Queenster Pokuah Sawyerr pledged her support for the Agona West constituency to recapture the parliamentary seat from the NPP.

She called on the NDC party faithfuls to take advantage of former President John Dramani Mahama's 24-hour economy massage to win more souls for the party.

The Agona West constituency Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Alex Asiedu Sekome and the Agona West NDC parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections, Mrs. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey asked the NPP to prepare for the battle.

Later in an interview with newsmen, the Agona West constituency Youth organizer of the NDC, Mr. Frank Freebody Mensah noted that the inauguration of the Youth Working Committee and Awards Day was to encourage the youth of the party who are working tirelessly for the party to win the 2024 general elections.

"Today's programme is to rekindle the spirit of the Youth across the constituency from Branch, Ward and other die-hard NDC supporters to spearhead a campaign to woo more support base for the party," he stated.

The Agona West Youth Working Committee has been put into categories to enhance effective campaigning. They are made up of the main Youth Working Committee headed by Mr. Kweku Doudou.

The rest are the Youth Operation Committee, Youth Welfare Committee, Media and Publicity Committee and Youth Representative Committee. They have been tasked to work assiduously to ensure total victory for the NDC in Agona West constituency.

Present were the former Central Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr. Kwesi Dawood, Central Regional Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Gabriel Nii Kommey and the Central Organizer of the NDC, Chief Mike Dery among others.
