The La Constance Center for Global Health has established an ICT Center for the Akropong Anglican JHS by donating 11 desktop computers with chairs and tables for the school.
They were given a Wi-Fi modem to access the internet as well as software to enable the teaching of Word Processing, Database, PowerPoint, Publishing etc.
Commenting on the program, Dr. Kwame Aniapam Boafo, CEO and Founder of the La Constance Center for Global Health said this is part of the broader agenda to fulfil its corporate social responsibility activities and enhance the quality of education in the school.
He said ICT is the new direction of development and he feels happy to have had the opportunity to have done this.
He thanked all those involved in making this possible and hoped that they would feel equally proud and rise to the occasion subsequently.
The Headmaster of the School, Mr David Ofei Asante said he was awed by the donation and suggested that a management and maintenance team would be put together to ensure the ICT lab is well managed.
He thanked Dr. Boafo and said they were aware of the numerous projects he had undertaken in the community.
