A Ghanaian lecturer with the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Professor Yarhands Dissou Arthur, has shared his view on the country's struggling tertiary educational systems.

The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Mathematics Education (FASME) at the University of Lille in France examined the various educational reforms implemented in Ghana, spanning both pre- and post-colonial eras.

The renowned Mathematician discussed the significant progress and development that Ghana's educational system has undergone throughout the year.

Prof. Yarhands Dissou Arthur also engaged and had a thoughtful discussion with students of the University of Lille regarding one of his published papers, which focused on "Student Mathematics Interest in Ghana, The Role of Parent Interest, Gender, Basic School Attended, and Fear of Basic School Mathematics Teacher."

Prof. Arthur’s insights into educational reforms, coupled with discussions on students' interest in Mathematics Education and disciplinary practices, underscore the importance of continuous improvement and innovation within the realm of education.

This exchange of knowledge and ideas serves as a testament to the global importance of addressing educational challenges to nurture a brighter future for all.

Prof. Arthur explored opportunities for exchange programs between the University of Lille and the University of Altos with AAMUSTED.

This initiative aims to foster collaboration and cultural exchange between these institutions, with the strengthening of partnerships through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
