Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central has finally reacted to the accusations of having a hand in the murder of late Tiger Eye PI member Ahmed Husein-Suale.

The legislator has revealed that he unknowingly paid the tertiary fees of the deceased investigative journalist as part of his philanthropic deeds.

On Accra-based Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana show with Paul Adom Otchere, the maverick MP said he was told by his workers after he published the journalist’s images on his Net2 TV days before his murder.

"When I showed the video on Net2, my workers came to me and told me, Honourable, don't you know this guy? And I said no. And they were like, but he was one of the guys whom you paid his school fees. I said I don't remember because I always pay people's school fees."

The worker recounted, "He came here; he said he was going to the university, and you gave him GH¢1,500."

But the MP said he insisted, 'I said I don't remember.'

According to Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, his intention in showing that video wasn’t to kill him but to warn him not to come near his company to set them up for an exposé.

"Dont allow him to come here because he will set us up, when you see him, beat him up. This is what I said," he noted.

After being accused of the murder, the NPP flagbearer hopeful said he will revisit the case and make sure that the culprits are brought to book when he finally becomes Ghana’s President.

"What I will do if I'm elected president is I will encourage the police to investigate the case to the bottom to uncover everything... I wanted to tell you that if I'm elected today, whether the case is dead or not, I will bring it back again to investigate," he noted.

Ahmed Suare, who was an investigative journalist at Tiger Eye PI was shot multiple times in the chest close to his residence in Madina, Accra, on January 2019.

After four years, his murderers are still walking freely.
