The management of Dzata Cement says it has not announced prices of their product ahead of the commencement of commercial sales.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that the local company has settled on selling a bag of cement for GHS30 when they finally begin commercial sales in June.
Having taken notice of the reports, the management of Dzata Cement has released a statement to set the record straight.
According to them, they have not come out with prices for their products and will do well to officially inform the general public in due course.
“The management of Dzata Cement Ltd will like to inform the general public that the company has not come out with any prices with regard to its products.
“The public is advised to disregard any such information circulating on various media platforms. Management will apprise the public of all such relevant information as we commence commercial production in due course,” a press release from the management of Dzata Cement has said.
The new Cement Company is owned by business mogul Ibrahim Mahama. The fully Ghanaian-owned cement processing factory is located in Tema and is projected to have a production capacity of 2 million tons of cement a year.
