Open Letter To Vice Chancellor And University Council Of University Of Ghana, Legon- Research Integrity Of The Department Of Political Science
I have read with dismay the level of academic indiscipline regarding a poll allegedly conducted by the above department suggesting the winner of the 2020 elections.
The Council and management should not forget their oath of office to ensure sound scholarship in sphere of integrity.
This research has damaged the cemented research intensive credentials of the University of Ghana. Those of us interested in credibility, integrity and objectivity in research have become concerned about the level of academic indiscipline you have tolerated in the name of politics.
The department has brought colossal disgrace to the University that has lowered the credibility of research and engagement in national discourse. The head of department and the lecturers involved should be put under investigation and the university disassociates itself from the damage laden poll.
