Kumasi, Nov 21, GNA - Oforikrom Ladies on Sunday beat Ash-Town Ladies 3-2 in their 11th week Ashanti Regional Women's League encounter played at the KVV Park in Kumasi.
Gloria Aikins, Ruth Asante and Ayisha Ansah scored the three goals for Oforikrom in the 15th, 70th and 90th minutes respectively whilst Mendina Asante and Beatrice Takyiwah scored for Ash-Town in the 30th and 65th minutes.
The match was keenly contested with Ash-Town seeking to revenge the 1-0 painful defeat inflicted on them by Oforikrom in the first round match.
The Oforikrom Ladies who were spurred on by their home support in trhe dying minutes of game, played with determination and resilience and it came as no surprise when Ayisha Ansah scored the match winner on the stroke of full time.
In the other matches, Ghatel Ladies trounced Osei Tutu Ladies 6-0 whilst Madonna Ladies accounted for Envoys Ladies with a 3-1 win.
