The Ghana-Uganda African Nations Cup qualifying match will be played at the Kumasi Stadium on June 22.

The Osu stand at the Accra Stadium is undergoing restructuring but FA chairman Ben Koufie told JoyFM Sports that the decision to play the game in Kumasi had been taken long ago.

The last time the Kumasi Stadium, which has a large capacity than the Accra Stadium hosted the Black Stars was two years ago when they beat Lesotho 3-0 in another African cup qualifier.

Ghana must beat Uganda in that game to enhance their chances of qualification for a seventh straight nation’s cup. Uganda lead Ghana by one point from the nation’s cup qualifying group thirteen with four points from two matches.
