Defence Minister Goes Unopposed In Bimbilla NPP Primaries

Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, the member of Parliament for Bimbilla Constituency, who currently serves as the Minister for Defence is contesting as an Unopposed Parliamentary aspirant for Bimbilla Constituency of the Northern Region.

Speaking with the Constituency Secretary of NPP in Bimbilla, Hon. Amos Nimotimi Tiba on the process so far as the filing of nominations close today, he said only the defence minister picked the form to contest and has successfully filed his nominations as an unopposed candidate.

The nomination forms were opened from January 20 to February 20 and as at today 20th February Only the defence minister picked and filed his form.

The secretary added that, Hon. Nitiwul has no contender in the primaries because the party and the Constituency are content with his work and have not seen the need to change someone who is on top of his job.

He said they are assured that Hon. Dominic Nitiwul would make it to parliament once again this year because he and the party have brought a lot of development to the Constituency making him gain the trust of the people to represent them as a lawmaker.

He hinted that, NPP and the Hon. Minister is set to deepen the gap in the results of the election against the main opposition party NDC due to the good works the party is doing in the Constituency.

Interviewing sections of electorates in the Constituency reveals that the grassroots have rooted firmly for the Defence minister and are ready to retain him into power this year for the good works he is doing in the constituency to continue.
