NPP Regional Elections: B/A NPP Deputy Secretary Urges Delegates To Vote For Competent People

Mr. Kofi Ofosu Boateng,an aspirant contesting for the Brong-Ahafo Regional Secretary position of New Patriotic Party (NPP),has stated that the up coming NPP regional elections is very crucial for the progress of the party and therefore there is the need to vote for competent, energetic and hardworking individual like himself to canvass for more votes in the 2020 elections.

Mr. Boateng, who is Brong-Ahafo Regional Deputy Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP),in an interview sunyani based radio Storm FM, he said its time the party members and delegates reward hardworking individuals who have sacrificed their lives and everything for the progress of the party citing himself as a living testimony.

"When the going was tough for the party in opposition, individuals who are now parading themselves as candidates for the secretaryship position saw it as a taboo to get close to the party office because they might loose their jobs'' he said.

According to Mr. Kofi Boateng, he has defied all odds and sacrificed his job among others for the first Regional Communication Director's position and again contested and won convincingly as the Deputy Regional Secretary and now acting as the Regional Secretary therefore he sees himself and tried tested and proven candidate for the secretariat portfolio.

He said he had the experience and the flair to make the party win 2020 elections if given the nod to lead the party and appealed to eligible voters to vote for him massively.

He called for a fair election to strengthen the democratic dispensation in the party to promote unity.

"NPP needs a competent person and with my calibre and vision for the party am the right for the Secretary position," he added.

He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) needed competent and level-headed people to make the the party remain in power for a longer period.

Mr Kofi Ofosu Boateng, also condemned the way some candidates were employing unfair tactics against their opponents, stressing that it was an unhealthy practice that was likely to affect the good democratic environment.

NPP Regional executives’ election slated for April 21 to 24

The party is currently preparing to organize elections at the regional level from 21st to 24th April 2018.
