Brigadier General Moses K. Gyeke Asante, the Director of Legal Services of the Ghana Armed Forces, has been outdoored as the Kyiedomhene of Apirede-Akuapem.
The Army Officer, who swore his oath of allegiance to the Chief of Apirede, Nana Saforo Okoampa III at a durbar held to climax the 2017 Odwira festival of the people at Apirede, was enstooled under the name, Nana Krobia Asante Gyeke Odum.
The outdooring ceremony was witnessed by the leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces including retired army officers.
Speaking at the function, Nana Okoampa assured the new Kyiedomhene that he had the backing of the chiefs and people of the area and urged all to support him in his efforts.
Mr Danial Kweku Botwe, the Minister for Regional Re-organization and Member of Parliament for Okere, expressed his appreciation to the large number of military officers present at the ceremony saying their presence would inspire the youth of the area to emulate them.
He invited the army officers to invest in the area and contribute towards the development of Apirede.
