Aspiring Assembly Woman organises free health screening

Dodowa, April 8, GNA - Madam Gifty Newman, Aspiring Assembly Woman for the Wedokum Electoral Area, has urged Ghanaians to go for regular health check-ups, to enable them to know their health status.

She said this would also offer them the opportunity to treat the diseases early enough to save cost, become healthy, in order to increase productivity.

Madam Newman who is also known as 'Vim Lady,' made the call when, in collaboration with Men's Health Foundation, an NGO, she organized a free health screening at Dodowa.

She said the organization of the exercise, formed part of her social responsibility.

Madam Newman said the well-being of the people in the community was dear to her heart, and that the community could only be developed when the    people were healthy.

The Aspiringh Assembly Woman appealed to the electorate to vote massively for her, to enable her to provide the community with social amenities such as a library and good drainage system.

'When voted into power, I will also ensure that there is unity in the community at all times,' she added.

Dr Raphael Obu, Chief Executive Officer of the NGO, said his outfit would continue to collaborate with institutions and individuals to provide quality healthcare within the community.
