Raid Holds First Promo Draw

The first draw of the Raid 'Scratch Your Way to Riches' promotion has been held at Makola in the Central Business District of Accra.

Eight consumers received GH¢1,000 each on Wednesday as part of the promotion.

Other winners received up to GH¢50 of mobile airtime credit and GH¢2,000 weekly for buying cans of RAID.

They were required to scratch cards and text PIN numbers to the short code 1751.

Some of the lucky winners included Eunice Wermegah, Matilda Dzade, Hilda Gyamfua Appiah, Mohammed Salis Tahir, Rahma Haruna Atta and Nicholas Adom.

Bernard Buamah, a Customer Marketing Officer of Raid, said the promotion is being run on the platforms of major telecoms, including MTN, Vodafone, Tigo and Airtel under the supervision of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

He said up to GH¢2,000 is expected to be won weekly until December 13 by consumers.

He said 'this promotion is designed to be an exciting and interactive activity to reward the shopper and retailer with instant talk-time.

'Shoppers are required to scratch and text to a designated short code 1751. An amount of talk-time won is automatically credited to their phones and text messages to confirm same sent in under 10 seconds. Non-winners receive auto response to try again. Talk-time or credits valued up to GH¢50.00 on MTN, Vodafone, Tigo and Airtel only and cash up to GH¢ 2000 will be won weekly,' he said.
