THE WOES OF VICTORIA SECRET

My mind still holds it fresh when I first came in contact with the laudable policy captured in the NDC manifesto for 2012 December election. Very comprehensive and feasible, the very one that injected hope in me, is the part that advocate for the women empowerment. To advance the status of women in leadership, the NDC promised to attain 40% women's representation in all public appointment. To accelerate the process, the NDC promised leadership-training programs for women, especially young women to help them manage public offices and exercise responsibilities at all levels.

During the appointment of state ministers, it became very clear that that portion of their manifesto was achieved base on the fact that, most of the designated ministers were women. The NDC party also made mention of their intention to run a government that will give the youth the opportunity to hold state offices. Such wonderful ideology enthuse everybody irrespective of their political affiliations.

I still remember vividly the pessimistic views that were express by the opposition as to whether the NDC government can run the nation with young ministers who are mostly politically neophyte. The questions that has inundated my mind for almost two days now is, Are these young ministers living up to expectation? If not, then they have woefully disgrace that part of the manifesto and also exonerated the opposition for having that pessimistic views.

Since the inception of this current administration that has featured a young men and women, a lot of unpleasant behaviors that has been exhibited by some of these young ministers are seldom condemn with alacrity. The very one that has gone viral on air and making headline is the famous Vicky leaks.

It is quite unfortunate that a close friend of mine has subjected herself to be used as an escape goat because she couldn't sit on her own thought even though she has a very big butt that is enough to sit on such a delicate 'agenda”. Apparently, she is suffering from oral diarrhea which is common syndrome in most women. Those who argued that there is nothing perilous about the “vicky leaks tape” are absolutely wrong. But I will be glad if the President can explain to us which of Vicky's statement made her jump out of the government's plane prematurely? Is it the insult of Rachel the deputy minister of women and Gender, or her intention to make one million dollar in Politics, or the allege influence of the Lithur Family in the Supreme Court case.

On the issue of making a million dollar and quitting, to me is a serious intention that can lead to unparagoned level of corruption in her office. I have not worked as a minister or a deputy before, but I strongly believe if she can make such a gargantuan amount of money in that capacity as a deputy minister, then the President is right in kicking her out because her personal interest will supersede the interest of the government.

And to those who believe most of the issues in the tape were a mere wishful thinking should come again. Because I believe actions are first wrought out as a thought in our mind. A man's action is a manifestation of his thought. A person with a positive thought certainly has a positive action and vice versa .With the other issue Vicky allege in her famous “Vicky leaks Tape” I see it to be an attempt by Vicky to peddle her influence beyond her status and in so doing she went overboard.

The action taken by the president was necessitated by the anger in him due to the recent call by some Ghanaians who think the government is too lenient and silent on the corrupt nature of some government official's .luck eluded Vicky so she became the escape goat for that matter.

The Youth of every nation are the trustees of posterity, with my little knowledge in politics with the help of radio and newspapers; I can confidently say some of these young ministers are doing a great job I wouldn't be surprise to see some of them running for presidency in the near future. But those bad-nuts who are basically into politics to satisfy their whims and caprices will soon meet the wrath of God.

Is common fact that, is not only Vicky who has such intention, there are lot of politicians out there who have worse intentions than this, it my fervent prayer that, they change their diabolic act. Vicky leak will now be used as a new term to scare those greedy gullible ministers who think the country's resource is their inheritance. God is watching!!!!
