Samsung will expand its range of low-cost mobile phones with the introduction of the Samsung Chief Hero, a GPRS Smart dual-SIM phone designed for cost-sensitive users, with especially Africans in mind.

'Following the successful launch of our Chief range earlier this year, we have seen that there is a need for mobile phones that suit the unique needs of developing countries and more importantly Africa,' said Ryan Na, Marketing and Sales Senior Manager, Samsung Electronics, Accra Office.

'As such, the Samsung Chief Hero mobile phone is a Smart dual-SIM phone that is targeted at these markets.'

Samsung has partnered with Airtel to provide a winning value proposition to the consumer.
