Milko On the Market

As with all grand occasions, our reporter was there at the grand launch of MILKO; the new milk drink on the market. The event was held at the SAVANNAH BAR (formerly Chester's Place), Nyaniba Estates, Osu in Accra last weekend. Over 150 guests and media were in attendance.

Milko is a new milk drink produced by Aquafresh Ltd. Also producers of Kalyppo, the natural juice drink already on the market.

Milko comes in three flavours, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, and now available all over the country.

The Sales and Marketing Manager, Mr. Haridas Govind described the product as "extremely nutritious, refreshing and full of vitamins". He described the convenient disposable packs with straws attached as environmentally friendly.

It is hoped that MILKO and its sister product Kalyppo will increasingly become popular for funerals, weddings, parties etc. due to easy storage and cooling and no cost of breakage, deposits etc. being incurred by organisers.

Mr. Kofi Oduro, Administrative Manager of OM Studios explained the new TV and Radio commercials as attractive and invigorating; indicating the product's suitability for people of all ages.

Mr. Chester Anie, CEO of Potpourri Productions, the PR company for Aquafresh Ltd. and Co-owner of Savannah Bar, presented 3 cases of Milko and ¢500,000 to the winner of the raffle to Ms. Gertrude Amoah, a caterer from Accra.

He said the advertising slogan for Milko is "Its original! Eye Soronko!"
