A public forum was to be organised to take place on November 11, 2008 at Mbease Nsuta in respect of the proposed mining operations of GSBPL, but it was suspended because of alleged threats to national security.

Nana Adu Panyin said both the chiefs and people of Mbease Nsuta and Bondaye communties have been engaged in communal labour to prepare the venue and clean up the whole community for the public hearing, which the paramount chief of Wassa Fiase, Osagyefo Kwamina Enimil VI, is to pay his first visit to the community and act as a special guest at the function.

He said 'we the people of Mbease Nsuta welcome the proposed mining operations of GSBPL and are very confident that it would be beneficial to the community, ensure development and contribute to the general well being of its entire people.'

Nana Adu Panyin gave the assurance that the forum will be organised in a peaceful and orderly manner with the necessary support and assistance of the security agencies deployed in the area.
