The campaign team for Vice President Aliu Mahama's has denied media reports that its manager Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor has been sacked.

Media reports suggest a shake up in the Vice President's campaign has left Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor out of the mainstream team. Special aide to the Vice President, Yaw Buabeng-Asamoah has told Joy News that Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor is only taking a back seat from the mainstream campaign after developing the strategy and framework for the early stages of the campaign.

He added that Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor's job as head of the school feeding program needs his full attention as the campaign kicks into higher gear.

Mr. Buabeng-Asamoah insists that despite the changes, Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor remains a part of the campaign and has not been sacked as assumed.

Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor himself told Joy News that there cannot be any truth in the allegations that he has been sacked and urged the public to disregard same.

He said what the campaign required was someone to run the day-to-day business of administration and his schedule at the School Feeding Programme would not allow him space.

Dr. Amoako-Tuffuor, who spoke to Joy News Dzifa Bampoe, described his replacement, Ben Annan as a diligent strategist with vast experience in the issues he would be dealing with, besides being a hard worker.
