Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Hopeson Adorye, has reiterated his firm stance against returning to the party, not even 100 million dollars can change his mind.

In an interview with on Angel FM, the ex-Deputy National Security Coordinator clarified that he did not voluntarily leave the NPP.

Instead, he was "sacked" for attending a program hosted by Alan Kyerematen who resigned from NPP to form his own party, where he expressed his support.

Mr Adorye emphasised, "I didn't need any compensation; I was not the one that said I was leaving the party.

“Alan held a programme which I attended because I was invited and I said I am still a member of the NPP but a sympathiser of Alan Kyerematen. That was all..."

Mr Adorye asserted that no amount of money could bring him back to the NPP fold, stating, "I am saying it, that even if they give me a hundred million dollars, I will not go back to the NPP."

The NPP revoked Adorye's membership in November 2023, along with three others, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Nana Ohene Ntow, and Boniface Abubakar Saddique.

This action was taken due to their public endorsement of a presidential aspirant other than the party's chosen flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Since then, the four ousted members have played major roles in supporting the candidacy of John Alan Kyerematen, who left the NPP to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
