DirectAid Society, Ghana, a non-governmental organization based in Kuwait with a branch in Ghana, recently concluded its annual Qur’anic recitation competition with grandeur, offering substantial rewards for the winners.

The event, held at the DirectAid headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, April 3, honored Dr. Abdul Rahman Summeit, the founder of DirectAid Society.

The Qur’anic recitation competition, which took place in Accra, was a remarkable success, leaving participants and attendees deeply moved, with some even shedding tears.

The competition reached its climax after finalists from various regions competed in their respective categories, showcasing their Qur’anic recitation skills to the admiration of the judges and attendees.

According to Mr. Saami, the Country Director of DirectAid Society, Ghana, the competition serves as a platform for participants to demonstrate their knowledge of the Qur’an and their recitation abilities.

Outstanding participants were rewarded with prizes including cash, certificates, Qurans, and Islamic books.

Participants lauded DirectAid Society Ghana for its efforts in promoting Islam and encouraged them to continue their good work for the sake of Allah and the development of Islam.

They urged the Ghanaian Muslim community to be advocates of peace and development and to refrain from activities that could tarnish the image of Islam.

A total of 27 participants, both male and female, competed in DirectAid's Dr. Summeit 2024 Qur'an Competition across five categories. These categories included reciting the full Qur'an, with nine participants from various regions, as well as reciting half of the Quran, Juzz Al-Ankabut, Juzz Al-Ahkaaf, and Juzz Al-Mulk, each with four to five participants.
