The New Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has supervised his first meeting with the management of the Ministry as he begins work.
At the meeting on Monday, February 19, the Minister disclosed that he plans to make an impact in the limited time he has before the 2024 General Election.
“I will bring new urgency to bear on the work so we can run and fly and make an impact within this short period,” Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam said.
Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has also had a meeting with the leadership of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
At the meeting, the Finance Minister who is also a Member of Parliament for Karaga stressed the importance of efficiency in the operations of the Minister and GRA.
He urged GRA chiefs to leverage digital solutions to maximise revenue mobilisation for government.
“It is also important that we achieve operational efficiency. This we must do by leveraging the power of digital solutions under Government’s Digitalisation Agenda,” Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam said at his meeting with GRA top officials.
