Eric Amofa picks nomination forms to contest Asante Akyem South NPP parliamentary primaries

The Managing Director of Seabeige Ghana Limited, producers of Safare Tissues, Mr. Eric Amofa has officially declared his intentions to contest the NPP parliamentary primaries in the Asante Akyem South constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Amofa also the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EKAJ Educational Fund picked nomination forms on Wednesday 20^th December, 2023 at the NPP Constituency office at Juaso, the capital of Ashanti Akyem South Municipality.

He was accompanied by some diehard party activists in the constituency amid cheers, singing and brass band music by some of the party youth.

The NPP officially opened nominations for aspirants in the constituencies where the party has sitting Members of Parliament from Wednesday 20^th December to Friday 22^nd December, 2023.

Mr. Eric Amofa was second to pick the nomination forms on Wednesday and were received by the Constituency Executives led by the Chairman and the Secretary, Kyei Noah and William Obeng respectively.

The Constituency Chairman who was also representing the Constituency Election Committee Chairman, Mr. Eric Aboagye applauded Mr. Eric Amofa for his confidence to put himself forward to contest in the primaries for a second time. He advised him to maintain his discipline, humility, and well-composed behaviour and also ensure that his campaign is devoid of insults and character assassinations.

Addressing the media after picking the nomination form, the NPP Parliamentary aspirant, Mr. Eric Amofa said his vision is to serve the people and ensure an accelerated development in every community within the constituency.

He revealed that education, agriculture, quality healthcare, infrastructural development, human empowerment and job creation are his topmost priorities.

Mr. Amofa hinted that he is going to implement a marshal plan to make the constituency the food basket for the region by establishing a 20,000-acre commercial farm across the 10 zonal areas in the constituency. He disclosed that he will engage with the traditional leaders in the constituency for the acquisition of the lands for the cultivation of varieties of crops, based market demand.

According to him, there will be ready market for the farmers, as he had already lined up some investors who will go into the purchasing and processing of their produce.

He promised to use his EKAJ Educational Fund to promote quality education by supporting more needy students to further their education.

The EKAJ Educational Fund is currently sponsoring some needy but brilliant students in the constituency at the tertiary level.

“I have big plans to recognize and reward our party delegates for their selfless service and contributions to the development of NPP in the Asante Akyem South, but I cannot disclose what I want to do for them in the media,” he stated.

Mr. Eric Amofa therefore appealed to the NPP delegates to believe in his vision, rally behind him and vote massively for him during the primaries.
