Leading multi-brand automobile company CFAO Ghana, on Tuesday, March 14, opened its refurbished Mercedes-Benz showroom in partnership with the global automobile giant.
Esteemed customers, new Mercedes-Benz owners, and dignitaries from various diplomatic missions attended the showroom opening on the Airport bypass road opposite Aviance.
The refurbished showroom has a comfortable lounge area with WiFi and phone charging ports, a coffee station, and a merchandise store. The store has various branded Mercedes-Benz merchandise, including keyrings, F1 caps, bags, F1 race car models, polo shirts, and pens.
Speaking at the showroom's opening, the MD and country delegate, Mr. Adedamola Adelabu, expressed his excitement about the future and future opportunities.
He emphasised the company's commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and providing a world-class experience for all customers.
"We are here to celebrate the completion of our refurbished showroom. We have made several improvements to ensure our customers have the best experience.
"We are confident of delivering outstanding customer service to ensure your experience with us is unparalleled, Mr Adedamola Adelabu said.
On his part, CFAO Ghana PLC General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Sebastien Duchateau added, "I think what we want to do is to create a new experience for Ghanaian customers, and this is why we decided to build a showroom that matches all the standards that Mercedes-Benz has across the world. So when they come here to buy a Mercedes-Benz, we want people in Ghana to have a brand new experience but the same type of experience they will have when they walk into a showroom in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. So to have the same level of comfort was key."

Speaking to the media, Sebastien Duchateau assured customers that their preferred Mercedes-Benz cars would be available when they came to the new showroom.
"We will be selling the whole Mercedes-Benz range. We can configure any car that people want, any type. The cars we keep in stock are standard, going from the GLA, Class C, and GLS to the G-Wagon. This is pretty much the standard stock, but everybody can order any Mercedes-Benz they want with any spec they want. We will be able to order for them," he indicated.
After-sales service:
At the new CFAO Ghana PLC showroom, Mercedes-Benz owners can drive in with their cars to get any problem fixed.
According to Sebastien Duchateau, they have all the tools and know-how to repair any fault.
"In terms of after-sales, with CFAO, this is where we keep the key focus. For Mercedes-Benz, it will be the same. As we are now the sole official dealer, we are the only officially authorised dealer by the manufacturer to repair Mercedes here. Moreover, we are the only ones with approved diagnostic tools for maintenance. So if customers want to ensure their Mercedes-Benz car is maintained and repaired according to the manufacturers' guidelines, I think this is the place to come," he stressed.
The National Service Manager for CFAO Ghana Plc, Dr. Adam Tettey Larbie, advised Mercedes-Benz owners not to gamble with servicing their vehicles. Mercedes-Benz uses very advanced technology in their cars requiring specialised knowledge and equipment to maintain correctly.
During the showroom's opening, the vehicle area displayed the following models: Mercedes-Benz GLC 200, GLA 200, and the GLE 450.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 is a compact luxury SUV with a sleek design and athletic proportions, which features a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 163 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the GLA 200 comes with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 is a midsize luxury SUV that offers comfort, performance, and technology. It features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 197 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the GLC 200 comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 is a large luxury SUV that combines elegance, power, and advanced technology. It features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with EQ Boost that delivers 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the GLE 450 comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. The SUV also features advanced safety and driver-assistance features, including active steering, brake, and attention assist.
In addition to the refurbished showroom, CFAO Ghana built a distinctive delivery area to deliver vehicles to customers. Furthermore, a dedicated workshop area has been allocated exclusively to Mercedes-Benz aftersales. This workshop is staffed by well-trained Ghanaian Mercedes-Benz engineers who use sophisticated diagnostic machines linked to Mercedes-Benz portals to provide world-standard servicing and maintenance for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
The launch of the refurbished Mercedes Benz showroom and the continued expansion of Mercedes-Benz's partnership with CFAO Ghana are part of the moves to champion the growth of the automobile sector in Ghana.
