The GJA President Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour has heaped praises on the founder and shareholder of Adom Group for his unwavering commitment to bridging the housing deficit gap in the country through the construction of affordable houses for the public.

He said the yeoman's job being executed by the Group is helping majority of Ghanaians who, ordinarily could not have owned houses, to now own their own house.

The GJA President was speaking as the Guest Speaker at the Thanks Giving Service of the Adom Group (Adom City Estate) in Accra on Saturday under the theme: “Aseda Kesie”.

“Let me begin by commending the Founder and Shareholder of the Adom Group and the entire management for the good works they are doing in the area of building affordable houses in the country”, the GJA President stressed.

He explained that such good works of the Group go to compliment the efforts of government in solving the housing challenges of the country, hence the need to support the group to thrive.

He explained that the private sector [of which the Adom Group is a part] is the engine of growth hence supporting such companies also creates jobs for the youth.

Mr. Dwumfour therefore expressed his commitment to support companies such as the Adom Group whose business he said is contributing to the growth of the economy.

He later appealed to the founder and shareholder of the Adom Group to support Journalists by contributing towards the Journalists Support Fund and capacity building for Journalists in the area of real estate development.

Touching on Thanksgiving, Mr. Dwumfour called on Journalists to make thanksgiving to God their priority as there is more blessings in thanksgiving.

According to him, thanksgiving to God does not only result in blessings but also helps one to surmount all their predicaments.

Buttressing his point with Psalm 95:2-3, Mr. Dwumfour emphasized that Thanksgiving is like yeast on bread dough which increases the dough, adding that thanksgiving also increases the blessing of the thanksgiver.

He further noted that thanksgiving is a formal public expression of gratitude to God and it operates by the law of sowing and reaping hence all and sundry must make it a point to give thanks regardless of the challenges.

“I always told people that when you give, the likelihood of you receiving it back from God is higher. This is my personal experience Mr. Chairman, any time I give thanks to God, God provides me with more than I could ever have imagined. God surrounds me with people who always look out for me and people who bless me every day with kind words and actions”, the GJA President emphasized.

On his part, the Founder and Shareholder of Adom Group, Dr. Bright Adom stressed that the Thanksgiving service is to thank God for protecting the staff and the company throughout 2022 without any misfortune.

He explained that his vision to bridge the housing deficit of the country through the provision of affordable housing can be achieved through thanksgiving adding that God rewards those who give him thanks.

Dr. Bright revealed that his company will soon begin the construction of a sky-rise building in Achimota and Frafraha.

“Quality is important and cannot be compromised. We will pursue quality with affordability. That is where we have carved a niche for our brand in the industry.

"Our brand stands for quality, innovation and leadership. That is our pledge! We will provide Value for Money (VFM) & Added Value for Money (AVFM) that are critical and expedient to keep the Adom Brand ahead of its peers.

"We will continue to be a leader in affordable housing and break frontiers to provide affordable luxury houses, apartments in specific locations in Ghana”, Dr. Adom emphasized.

The MD of Adom Group Rev. Joseph Opoku Adjei touched on the need for the Group to be supported to continue to deliver affordable housing to the citizenry.

This he said is the only way the burden of houses on Ghanaians can be minimized.
