Five people are feared dead when a Sprinter bus with registration number GR 6117-20 involved in an accident on the Accra-Tema motorway.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 am this morning.
It occurred when the tyre of the bus burst which caused the bus to somersault.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Sprinter bus was overspeeding and failed to heed the warnings of his passengers to slow down.
Fifteen other passengers have sustained various degrees of injuries.
The injured have been transported to the Tema General Hospital for treatment.
The Ghana Police Service and National Ambulance Service are currently on-site to direct traffic flow.
