Hard times are normal but survival is more important

Hard times are normal but survival is more important

Times are hard and things are bad but we must survive...and THRIVE. There's no promise anywhere for easy life. Life is a struggle and must be approached with diligence and courage. Times are hard but life is more important than hard times.

Jerry John Rawlings is gone, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is vibrant. Sr. Kwame Nkrumah is gone, Ghana is alive. Komla Dumor is gone, BBC has found a replacement. KABA is gone, Multimedia is working. Kofi Annan is gone, UN still operates. I can go on and on. Just remember that Times are indeed hard, but survival supersedes hard times.

The point is, don't work your life out. You are very important. Yes! But so too is everyone around you. No circumstance is worth human life. Most people don't know that, no matter their status, someone looks up to them and if they die, many have died with them. Think twice, and know that, life is not you or me or I but "us" or "we". I am because you so survive.

Calm down. Once in a while, take time off work, do medical check-ups, visit your family, visit serene sites, sit with genuine friends who do not feel threatened by your success, and have a good time together. These things release much burden that possibly might have struck you in the past.

Try to appreciate nature. If possible, run, walk, sing, dance, go to church and other religious gatherings, and genuinely serve God as well as pray always.

Meditate and take time to talk to yourself. Live life. This is when you do personal reflections on many issues.

Be humble, be kind, happy yourself, and don't let the world stress you out. Let this be your guide. Let's try to enjoy the rest of our LIVES... Every second wasted is not a waste of time; it’s a waste of your life! Note, nothing is more important than life. Not even hard times.
