Tain District Inaugurates Election Security Taskforce

A Ten-Member District Elections Security Task Force chaired by Mr. Edzorhohoho Hobson, Wenchi Divisional Crime Officer has been inaugurated at Nsawkaw to monitor and ensure the overall security of this year's General elections in the Tain District.
The Members of the task force were drawn from all the security services in the District and the District Information Officer.
After the inauguration of the task force, Mr. Edzorhoho Hobson said attaining peace was essential and a shared responsibility urging everyone to contribute his or her quota to sustain it.
He further assured that they would execute their task fairly without fear of favor.
In a remark after inaugurating the task force, the District Chief Executive, Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh urged the members of the task force to ensure that no individual or group of people endangered the peace in the District before, during and after the 2020 general elections.
She also advised the members to handle all electoral issues fairly to avoid violence during the elections.
She assured the task force of her support to ensure they succeed in their assignment.
